About

Every productivity app asks nicely. This one sends a cat.

Fat Orange Cat is a pomodoro timer with a personality problem. Work for 25 minutes (or anything from 1 to 120) and a large, annoyed, deeply unbothered orange cat settles over every tab in every browser window. He stays for exactly five minutes. You cannot click through him, scroll past him, hit Esc, right-click, or delete him from the page. He has no close button, and he knows it.

He is not cruel, just firm. Thirty seconds before he lands, a small "Fat cat incoming" pill appears in the corner so you can save the file and finish the sentence. When he arrives, any video or music you had playing pauses, and it picks up again when he leaves. While you wait, he offers the kind of wisdom only a cat can: "Production is fine. Sit down."

Here is the catch. Every hour you work without finishing a break, he gets fatter: smug, then chunky, rotund, obscene, and finally eclipse, when he covers most of your screen. Turning him off does not help, because the streak remembers. The only way to shrink him is to take the break.

No account, no tracking, no data leaves your browser. One tiny popup lets you set your work block, summon him early, or give him the day off.

A fair warning: he lives in Chrome, so he covers browser tabs, not your whole desktop. Most of your day is probably in there anyway.

Every listing on OzLorien Labs is real and runnable. Nothing here is a mockup — try it yourself with the buttons above.
